How to get here
Both theatres are located approximately one mile from Southend town centre and are accessed from either the A13 or A127, following the brown tourist signs as you enter the town.

Parking
The Cliffs Pavilion has an 80-space Pay & Display car park on-site.
Parking Fees apply between 7am & 7pm:
Up to 30 minutes | 20p |
Up to 2 hours | £1.50 |
Up to 3 hours | £4 |
Up to 4 hours | £4.80 |
Over 4 hours | £8 |
Payment may be made at one of two Pay & Display machines (located in our slip road at the front of the building and in our car park below the building) either by cash or credit card. It is not possible to pay by 'phone. The car park will be patrolled by council enforcement officers.
Patrons attending a show commencing before 7pm can obtain a partial refund of the amount above £1.50 on presentation of tickets for that day's show. Press the green button on the payment machine in order to obtain a receipt which should then be presented at either our Box Office, Theatre Shop or bars.
Blue Badge Holders
From September 2019, all Blue Badge holders may park free-of-charge, both in the bays reserved for disabled patrons and the regular bays.
Additional Parking
Shorefield Car Park is an additional 125-space Pay & Display car park is situated one block away from the Cliffs Pavilion at the junction of Station Road and Shorefields Road.
Further Pay & Display car parking is also located along Western Esplanade immediately below the Cliffs Pavilion at the bottom of the cliffs (approximately 5 minutes walk up the steps).
Parking fees at both of these locations will be different to the Cliffs Pavilion car park and refunds do not apply.
Most of the residential streets around the Cliffs Pavilion have resident permit parking operating until 9pm. These streets are regularly patrolled by enforcement officers. Please check for the usual signs on lampposts, etc.
By Train
Southend is served by two mainline rail services and the same stations would be used for either theatre:
- Fenchurch Street line (C2C): Use Westcliff station. The Cliffs Pavilion is a 5-minute walk away.
- C2C Senior Rover Tickets available from just £7. More info
- Liverpool Street line (National Express): Use Southend Victoria station. Both theatres are a 5-minute taxi ride away
By Bus
Cliffs Pavilion: A bus stop is located immediately outside the main entrance and is served by Stephensons of Essex who operates the No.17 bus five times in the morning and once in the afternoon Mon-Fri. There are no buses in the evening or at weekends.
By Air
London Southend Airport is located approximately 15 minutes taxi ride away from both venues and has its own railway station on the Liverpool Street - Southend Victoria line
Palace Theatre

Parking
Pay & Display parking for the Palace Theatre is located on the corner of London Road/Hamlet Court Road and in Ceylon Road, both positioned approximately 10 minutes walk towards the town centre. Parking in these car parks is FREE after 6pm
Blue Badge Holders

Palace Theatre: A bus stop is located immediately outside the main entrance and is served by a variety of frequent services operated by both First Bus and Arriva
