Information

Forget all you have heard about close shaves as you enter the grim world of 19" Century London, where Benjamin Barker returns to London following 15 years transportation to Australia on trumped-up charges. Barker - now known as Sweeney Todd - was sentenced by the corrupt Judge Turpin, who banished the barber to the other side of the world in order to seduce his wife. Having served his time, Todd discovers that his wife, Lucy, committed suicide and their daughter, Johanna, is now a ward of Turpin. He plots his revenge on the corrupt judge.
However, alter encountering meat pie shop owner Nellie Lovett, Todd's plans escalate as more and more Londoners become the filling for Mrs Lovett's pies.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, won three Tony Awards and was staged on Broadway and the West End. The musical became a hit film in 2007 directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp (Todd), Helena Bonham Carter (Lovett) and Alan Rickman (Turpin).
